Excerpt on

Willie Comer

In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Willie Comer, twenty-one, a painter, was more fortunate. Sentenced to four years after being identified by two witnesses as a participant in a cafe robbery, he had served only four months when one of the actual robbers who had been convicted became conscience-stricken and named his accomplice so that an innocent man would not have to remain in prison. Comer was released in January, 1962.
