HOLLAND, KENNETH R. (white). 1948. Virginia. Holland was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to twenty years in prison. He was a former police officer, and the victim was the husband of a friend. The conviction was reversed on appeal because of insufficient evidence.1 In 1950, Holland was acquitted at retrial.2
